On April 24, 2021 I was at lunch when I learned that Les had passed away suddenly at his home on April 20th. The news hit me like a gut punch. I cried out then cried for real. I became a BCR, especially Leslie, fan at the age of 14 (1974). I am now 60 and the love I have had in my heart for the band and Leslie has never diminished. In an ironic twist of fate, I lost my dad to dementia AND my brother to cancer on the same day April 20, but in 2020. So to lose Les the same exact day one year later was more than I could deal with. There have been so many gut-wrenching tears since Les died. Thankfully, we will all have our wonderful memories and his music to sustain us and carry us forward.
