Thoughts

I have loved you for 46 years, dear Leslie. It is devastating to think that you no longer exist in the same world as I. Years ago, I was fortunate enough to see you in concert—1977, I think. You made me believe in magic and fairytales. Ones where 13 year old US girls could fall in love with and marry a 21 year old Scottish boy, and live happily ever after. Well, I’m 59, now. I have a Ph.D., am a college professor, and have been married for 30 years. However, somewhere in the dark recesses of my mind and certainly my heart, I think I still hoped that fairytale could come true. That is the sort of effect you produced, Les. Now that you have gone, I will continue to see you in my dreams. Much love and devotion always, dearest.

Les was the love of my life from the age of 10. Could not believe they came to Australia - so far away. Saw the band in concert then and followed his career through the decades. An amazing performer who had the voice of angels and worked hard for his success. Heart was broken on the 20/4/2021 and still is. A beautiful man gone too soon. Love you Leslie Richard McKeown, yesterday, today, tomorrow, always - thank you for the memories

It is nearly a year since you left. I cried for days after I heard the news. My teenager heart throb had gone, never for me to see you sing again. I was fortunate to have met you as an adult, you fill my heart with joy and your hugs were the best. knowing that I won't see you sing again is hard, however, the memories you gave are all happy ones. My heart goes out to your lovely wife- Peko and your son- Jubei. The music shall keep you alive in our hearts. R.I.P Leslie Miss you, much love Sue6918 xx
